Meant to Be: Andrew Willis, Skatepark Engineer

We have within our mind unlimited personal potential. The ability to be inspired, set a goal, to fulfil a vision that is meant to be, will happen in some way.

Andrew Willis, an engineer and skateboarder has turned an empty building site into this skatepark and gathering place for young people in his East London community.

This is proof that what is meant to be is meant to happen. This is an example to show that free resources can be accessed and help too. However, if people do not know, how will this be. It only takes on person to start a revolution for change.

The children are smiling. The skatepark is formed on waste ground. The opportunity has been created to sow seeds, showing young people that if you have a vision and want to do something, where there is a will there is a way.

Next step to help each other. Team work can build buildings and empires too. If you are focused on a goal and work with people sharing the same vision, much can be achieved.

Males are far more at ease with being goal orientated and going for it...than women who tend to be emotional and think of all the pitfalls. This does not apply in every case. The lesson is if you really want to do something let no one stop you.

In my life, I have been ripped off many times and now I can say it is OK because people saw value in my ideas and made it happen. Thoughts have power and inspiring people to grow and realise their personal potential is far more rewarding. We cannot physically do everything but when we discover what we can do, we enhance our strengths.

Really value this work effort by Andrew Willis. Not only are the children smiling - they are experiencing achievement in skill and later on, they will want to build on this. We have all grown to be who we are because of what we have learned in our life time.

It is a mistake to place your value in material gains and dollars. If you have made a positive difference in this world and enabled other people, this holds value. If you are assisting natural growth and development of skills, just imagine the potential when the young people today have an idea to do something....They are inspired.

Peace, love and best wishes
