Political Humor NOT - Lessons to Be Learned.

The title reads 'Republicans in Hell'
'While walking down the street one day, a Republican head of state is tragically hit by a truck and dies. His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
"Welcome to Heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."
"No problem, just let me in." says the Republican.
"Well, I'd like to but I have orders from higher up.   What we'll do is have you spend one day in Hell and one in Heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."
"Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in Heaven," says the Republican head of state.
"I'm sorry but we have our rules." And with that, St. Peter escorts the Republican to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to Hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course.   In the distance is a club and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him, everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, hug him, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at expense of the people.   They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster and caviar. Also present is the Devil (a Republican, too), who really is a very friendly guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes.
They are having such a good time that, before he realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a big hug and waves while the elevator
rises. The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on Heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.
"Now it's time to visit Heaven." So 24 hours pass with the Republican head of state joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.
"Well then, you've spent a day in Hell and another in Heaven. Now choose your eternity."
He reflects for a minute, then the head of state answers: "Well, I would never have thought it, I mean Heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in Hell."
So Saint Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to Hell. Now the doors of the elevator open and he is in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags. The Devil comes over to the Republican and lays an arm on his neck.
"I don't understand," stammers the Republican head of state. Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and club and we ate lobster and caviar and danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable.
The Devil looks at him, smiles and says, "Yesterday we were campaigning.  Today you voted for us!"
Unfortunately the decisions made by officials who assume a place of authority, many disregard the consequences and long term repercussions.  For every action there is a reaction. For every ill there is a cause. And where there is no justice there will be no peace either. Who causes this?
This world has so  much beauty and the wonder of nature keeps reminding us of life. There are people who believe they have the right to possess this world when this is not so. We are all guardians of this world and it might be for another generation to live out their life until this can be fully appreciated. The wars and destruction happening on our planet,  invites destruction from the universe. We have had floods and earthquakes - there's been quite a bit of angry thunder and lightning too.
If we all had hindsight, will our decisions be any different. There are people who will do anything for the short term gains and powers for vanity, even knowing there will be pain later on. There is no one who has not sold their soul to the devil who does not know there is a price to be paid.
In the upper classes, there are people who greet each other with 'how the devil are you' - or how the hell are  you?  Not everyone is aware of what they say and yet some people are.
We are all born naked with nothing at all and at our last breath we will take nothing with us. There are people who have made colossal wealth and have decided their children will not be inheriting; yet there are those who have stolen wealth from people who try to keep hold of it. Ill gotten gains!
There are Universal Laws and the Laws of Nature. Man made laws for profit are in conflict with the laws of the universe. The distraction from a far higher authority might be desperate measures.
Far from being a perfect human being, even when threatened with destitution, I will not be picking up a gun to kill someone so that there will be food in my belly. One woman spoke of her husband, brother and father all serving in the army and she said they have never  killed anyone. She said the army pays a good wage that gives her family a nice home and lots of Christmas presents. She was reminded that Christmas is not about presents. Jesus is the Gift.
A solider in America came home and spoke of being homeless. He spoke of his realisation that he had caused destruction to peoples homes and recognised the karma payback.
People were warned not to take oaths long ago!
Watching only this year for the first time the Dracula movies - the officials who had made the laws of the land were killed. They had oppressed the people with unjust laws.  In one version they were impaled on the stake - is a stake driven through the hearts of vampires? How many cold hearted people are involved in rituals that are drinking human blood today?
The lust for power and lust for blood are not myths. When a system is set up with a structure of hierarchy that is destroying life 'anywhere' something is seriously amiss. But there is nothing that is happening that has not already been foretold. The saving of souls is not valued in England. The landscape was prepared for evil to thrive long ago. It is just being exposed now.
Peace be with you
